A huge thank you to PJ and Marian Aylward who called into our 4th Class and brought a selection of artefacts for the children to investigate.
The class had a lot of fun trying to work out the function of a number of historical objects, including a carriage lamp, a cobbler’s anvil, A Gunther’s Chain (used to measure land) a gas mask and an egg scales.
PJ and Marian were very generous with their time and were there to answer any questions the children had about the items.
