What have 5th and 6th class been up to this week?
5th Class were invited to the library again this week for a workshop with famous illustrator ‘Alan Dunne’ (illustrator of ‘The Great Irish History Book’). 6th Class are continuing on their cycling journey and made it to the road this week. Well done all!

Science Week
Well done and thank you to Rang a 5 and Rang a 6 for showcasing some fantastic science experiments for ‘Science Week 2023’. The younger classes enjoyed getting to watch and be part of some fascinating experiments.

Science Week Library Visit
A huge thank you to Amy who invited us to the library this week for Science Week and to Rossa from The Rediscovery Centre who delivered an amazing workshop based on SPACE! Fundraiser
We were delighted to welcome Dermot and Kay McGann to the school on Tuesday 18th Oct. 2023. Dermot presented a cheque for €7502.14 to the school. He raised this money by walking from Malin Head to Mizen Head in July and it will go towards the purchase of playground equipment for our New ASD Build. Read more…

A Visit from Farmer Tom

5th Class Veggie and Herb Giveaway!
Well done to all the children involved in our school garden this year. 5th Class harvested the produce and gave it to some lucky customers before the school closes for the holidays!
Bake Sale
A massive congratulations to 5th Class and 6th Class who organised a Bake Sale to raise money for ‘Walk to Talk’. Thank you to everyone who dropped in bakes and treats and to all who contributed in some way.
School Garden and Tidy Towns
A huge thank you to Fiona and Fred for organising a fantastic lesson on planting. Fred helped 5th and 6th classes to plant an Apple Tree and plenty more. Everything planted will be a fantastic addition to our already blooming herb, vegetable, fruit and flower garden!
