5th and 6th class have had a busy, but fulfilling start to the year, including a trip to Emo Court and Parklands, The Rock of Dunamase and concluding with a trip to the playground in Timahoe. They even had their own personal tour guide lead them around the Rock of Dunamase and give them a guided bus tour on route back to Durrow. Thank you Trudy and a big thank you to Martina and everyone in Emo Court who welcomed us.
Along with their usual learning, 5th and 6th class have had numerous visits from secondary schools, took on leading roles as part of their school mass, launched into Shared Reading with Juniors, started Cumann na mBunscol, began the FCÁT initiative (teaching some extra PE lessons through Gaeilge), began learning German with Ann O’Sullivan and have been really enjoying their weekly football sessions with Ciara. They are certainly kept busy!
