A huge thank you to Sean Conroy, Delphine Lawlor and Brian Sheppard who very kindly visited 6th class to help us with our Local History Project on organisations in Durrow. All visitors gave us very insightful information about The Harps GAA, The Scouts and The Lions AFC. Thanks to Brian for very kindly raffling two soccer balls. Lions AFC shorts and socks to three lucky winners. The class loved hearing about local history, especially hearing about their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents’ contributions to these organisations. We can’t wait to see the final product of this very exciting project.
